One day a young religious sage trainee was going to the church for his personal prayer – time spent in silence with God, speaking about one’s own inner self. He was doing his philosophical studies. After going through his notes on different philosophies and the books of great thinkers, he wanted to go to the “Truth” itself (GOD) to discuss about them. On his way down the corridor, he is caught up with the sight of the moon. Yercaud is a hill-station and the building was raised with stones and see-through glasses. The moons beauty attracts him. He stands there watching it when it slowly goes behind a thick cloud illuminating the edges to glowing silver. Here is the romantic analogy of that man taking the moon to be his beloved who coyly hides behind the screen and smiles brightly. That shining light of the silver-line reminds him to go for his duty of meeting his dear one – the Lord.
கருக்கல் பொழுதில் காலம் மறந்து
என்னை மறந்து எண்ணங்கள் வளர்த்து
தத்துவங்கள் புரியா சூத்திரங்கள் படித்து
மனம் அவன் பதம் சேர நடந்து வந்தேன்
வீட்டிற்கு விருந்தாளியாக வந்தபோது
கதவுக்குப் பின் (நீ) நிற்பது போல
முகில்சீலைத் திரை பின்னே
மஞ்சள் பூசிய வெண்ணிலா
எனைக் கண்டு - நான் உனைக் கண்டபின்
நாணம் மிகப் பெற்றவள் (நீ) மறைந்ததுபோல்
முகில்களின் பின்னே பதிலேதுமின்றி
மனங்கவரும் அவளின் ஒளியாலே
அவனிடம் போகச் சொல்லி
அக்கம் பக்கம் மேகங்களை ஒளிரச் செய்தாள்
அவள் ஒளிந்திருந்த மேகத்தின் விளிம்புகள்
அவளன்பில் வெள்ளிபோல் ஜொலிக்க
அவனன்பில் தூய்மையாய் ஜொலிக்கவேண்டிய –
நான் வந்த விஷயம் நினைவுக்கு வர
விரைந்தேன் என் அவனன்பில் இணைந்திட…
